Hi,
I'm t1 and currently 22 weeks and noticing insulin resistance creeping in. I'm on an insulin pump, so novorapid every few minutes as a background insulin and then boluses for meals, lately I've noticed that my boluses are just plain ineffective, it seems to get worse as the day goes on until it's particularly bad in the evening. This leaves me feeling guilty and generally rubbish.
Does anyone have any experience of insulin resistance becoming worse over the course of the day or of using metformin in alongside your insulin? I've tried all sorts to make it more effective, including rubbing the site, using a heat pack on the site to increase blood supply, making sure I'm not dehydrated and obviously, avoiding lumps, but nothing has helped yet!
Thanks
