ive realised that when I made my original claim last year, i estimated that my income for the next tax year would be £16000 but didnt realise that maternity was classed as income and obviously I wouldnt be earning my actual salary (baby brain moment).

So basically I put down that I think il earn £16000 but i actually earned around £3500. So my question is, will i get any of that money back or did i miss out?

I'm stalking because I did the same.. x

i don't think so. before they'd backdate 3 months, now it's only 1.

i gave my income but didn't realise they took £100 off every week/month (cant remember which) that i was on SMP.. when i found out i rang them up but there was nothing they could do because it was so far back. x

I did it 2 years ago and got a one off payment of £2500 as I forgot t say my income was a lot less on mat leave. Not sure if that's the same rule now xx
