I currently have one child and only receive £81 child benefit no tax credits etc.

However someone in work has said that once I have our second baby (April/May) I may be able to claim working tax credits as the earning limit goes up with a second child ... ?

I believe its £32,200 for 2 children and you would get Child tax credits.

Yeah I thought £32,000 although it increases if it's the childcare element.

Does anyone have a rough idea of how much we would be entitled to at about £29,000?
We don't pay for any childcare.

Remember your income will be lower when on maternity leave so for one year at least you'll get more, they don't include the first £100 per week of SMP in your estimate. Google tax credits calculator :flower:

Yea the past 10 months ive been on mat leave and we've been getting £40 week.

When my wage is normal and just under 32000 we'l get the £8/9 week.

So I imagine you'll be quite simialar xx

Use the calc. I am predicted to get about £900 but thats WITH childcare of £280 a week. Without that and me not working and OH on 24k we would get £350 a month it says.

Thanks ladies!

I used one calculator and it said £0 but that was only based on one child it had no where for me to enter how many I had ..

Has anyone got a linnk to one?

Try this

https://taxcredits.hmrc.gov.uk/Qualify/DIQHousehold.aspx

I use this one

https://www.entitledto.co.uk/calculator/

You can put how many children you have and whether your due that child or its already here lol.

You can pay around with different scenarios.
