Hi does anyone from experience know if you have had a child in nursery and paid for it urself plus some tax credit help. When your child turned 3 and was entitled to free hours etc did tax credits automatically deduct the allowance you were previously given or do you need to call them to alter it or do they cont to pay it??

Thanks!

No you have to tell tax credits how much you pay for childcare. It will change when free hours kick in so you have to tell them With details of how much you are paying as soon as it changes

In my renewal lette it said to let them know if costs decrease by more than £10 a week. I phoned them up as soon as my son started nursery xx

yeah they dont want to know its its a change within £10 up or down.
mine didnt change that much so no worries.
