I'm getting so frustrated with not being able to drink tea. I'm at a tea shop right now and I can't find anything safe to drink. The mango passion fruit tea has licorice powder in it which can cause preterm labor and lower iq. Which teas do you ladies drink?

i drink sweet tea and green tea both have low caffeine less that 12mg of it

Whatever I like really, even senna teas. Just not the majorly bad ones. Mainly just english breakfast or alpine tea

Every once in a while I have Tazo wild sweet orange. Its decaf. I think its ok.

i drink whatever, besides alcohol ... never heard of all the other things... i rarely drink soda... now i have one a day since it helps with nausea..i do think tea

I am still drinking my tea every morning and sometimes one in the evening. It is with milk and sugar though which makes a difference. I am in New York at the moment and I have noticed that Americans are drinking a lot of either Pepsi or Iced Tea. Crazy. Both not really drinks for pregnant women. In Ireland we have this lovely drink called Squash which you mix with water. Much better. At the start when I came here 2 weeks ago I pretty much hf the Iced Tea (Snapple) everyday. I am sure it will be fine like.
I mean I am always saying to myself what did people do in the early days? There were no of these rules.

i have a cup of english breakfast every day, sometimes two. that still keeps me way under the recommended limit for caffeine.

I drink green tea occasionally. It has very low caffeine content. When winter is over, I won't feel so desperate for a hot beverage to warm up. :)

A cup or two of english breakfast. It has 75mg of caffeine per cup, so you come in well under the 200mg limit :)

I'm drinking a cup of yorkshire tea right now :-) I'll drink a couple more during the day as well! I don't drink coffee, alcohol, smoke or do any of those things that pregnant women aren't supposed to do so why not allow myself a couple of cups of tea!

I have just had to relent after 13 weeks and give up on my tea:cry: I love my tea! Now it makes me so sick after just a mouthful, its awful! My midwives said all twinnings are safe,xx

Surely the odd cup of flavoured teas won't cause side effects? Don't they say eat pineapple to start off labour but when you look into you would have to eat nothing but to get to the levels suggested to tip the balance. I eat liquorice in pregnancy love the stuff never heard of any problems with it over here. I had 6 pieces last week, 2 pipes, 2 just long bits and 2 of the Bassetts stamped ones which aim to take your fillings out so chewy. Last week also had some lemon flavoured and raspberry flavoured from the health food shop. Very nice staff was buying a supplement for my sister and they were so helpful. They would have said when i said o a treat to myself if there was a problem?

Just normal tea. its fine to have as long as you dont have too many cups in a day. i would say i drink 1 cup a day but not ever day. i had a decaf latte the other day liked that lol.i normally drink a lot of water too x

Hi
I now drink De-caff Tetley tea instead of the original pk!
I used to be a massive coffee drinker b4 i got pregnant with Ben 4yrs ago,but the smell then used to turn me!!!*bouk*
Now i have the occassional coffee but its always De-caff!!
I have heard some fruit flavoured teas are not to be taken but im not into those so it doesnt bother me!lol
Would hate if i had to give up my Cuppa!! I prob have 4 a day! But seeing as they r De-caff it doesnt bother me.
xxBC

I just have tetleys decaf tea or twinnings fruit tea. I find that if I have too much of the twinnings, I feel sick so I limit myself to one mug/day

i have decaf berry teas but lately find that i crave english breakfast with milk. So i have one cup in the mornings and maybe one in the afternoon. i dont drink coffee and really dont like fizzy pop so I dont think that I am overdoing on caffeine.

Twinings makes a great decaf English Breakfast if you can find it. I've only seen it at Waitrose so far.

I hant stopped drinking tea. Nowt wrong with a few cups of Tetley or PG Tips:thumbup:

Cant stand herbal teas albeit peppermint.

Decaf white tea (organic). Though not all that often as I'm not a big tea drinker really.
