just when i thought she we'd got away with it my daughter's started biting me at feed times and ouchy  She did it once when her tooth first came through but stopped, now she's doin it loads!

So far i've been taking he roff the breast for a second to stop her from doing it again but that just made her worse! Is there anythin else i can try to make her stop? I didn't appreaciate it at 630 this morning!

:hissy:

I get it all the time, eventually it stops hurting hon

Hayden did that alot, I would tell him sternly no, if he did it again I would take him off and tell him no again...again and he stopped nursing for a few minutes....well unless he was really hungry which he didn't do it when he was really hungry it was usally when he was almost done so he was messing around. He did eventually stop doing it and as he became a toddler he used to tease me like he was going to then die laughing...

Amelie is still 100% gummy but her teeth are coming through and her gums are rock hard. Because they hurt her she sometimes clamps down on my nipple really hard and pulls her head away from me :'( Must be worse with teeth. Poor you!

I dont go in for the 'no' approach which is one way of dealing with it. The other is to pull them into the breast which will block their nose and they will automatically let go. The urge to breath is stronger than the urge to bite :D

eek i cant imagine the pain hun!! hope she stops it soon!!

I felt really bad for telling her no! I've just been blubberin on to my OH how i felt awful of telling her no whilst feeding . Thanks I'll try pulling her in and see if that works any.

Hebe bit me tonight!!! That's only the third time. She doesnt 'bite' more just bears down when she's done. I hate using 'no'. I try to avoid it where I can so I think you'll feel better for trying this way :hugs:

Ouch i think this will be the only instance that i'm grateful i didn't last that long:)

It's not as painful as those beginning weeks of BFing but it's not pleasant either! Especially when she decides she's gonna bite and not let go for a few seconds :dohh:
