Charlie got his first little tooth through yesterday, but now he wont have boobie!! he's been having a bottle during the day for a few weeks now and just boobie on a morning and before bed, but now he wont have it at all he just bites and wriggels to get away!! im pretty gutted! i guess now is just his time to stop?

Keep trying hun, the tooth probably feels really strange in his mouth. It's very rare for babies under one to wean themselves. It's more likely a nursing strike.

Not quite the same with us as Sam's breastfed but sometimes has bottles of expressed milk. As his first tooth was coming through he started completely refusing bottles - it looked like he was really uncomfortable. Now he's fine with them again...the sucking action can irritate their gums x

It is possible for babies to wean themselves at a young age lol max did that at 4 months every time i tried to nurse he would wiggle away and fight me :( I asked the dr and she said he was most likely weaning himself .
