Temp question

So I took my temp when i woke up in the early early morning, not sure when, and when I checked the recall function it was an elevated temp, but when I took it again after waking a little later than my usual time it was less. Should I just discard thirds completely or should I go with the lower temp? For all I know the first temp was only an hour after falling asleep. It was before any alarms anyway, I just didn't want to miss it in case.
