So, this is our first month trying to conceive after fibroid removal in October 2010.

The first few cycles after fibroid removal were very light; pretty much brown spotting but it didn't matter because I wasn't cleared for intercourse nor TTC.

Well, this month I had a nice 4 day full flow.

I ovulated on the 7th. I usually have a 31 day cycle. However, my temps are very low. My coverline is at 97.3 and at 5dpo I'm just at 97.5. I have been tested for hypothyroidism and was clear.

I have, however, lost quite a few pounds and I'm wondering if this is the cause of my temps being so low. I have 3 thermometers and on all of them my temps are lower than they have ever been. I've never had this problem before.

Any ideas? Perhaps I'm just getting back regular after the surgery?

As long as your temps are consistent (low before ov, then higher after) I don't think it matters what they actually are. Weight loss and other things might affect your temps, but I wouldn't worry :)

I was wondering the same thing...I looked at FF's chart gallery and noticed a lot of progesterone deficiencies with low temps...will be testing thyroid and progesterone in 7 days...just in case...

So is progesterone something your doctor has to prescribe for you or can you just get the progesterone cream they sell in the vitamin store and administer it yourself?

My intention was to just use an over-the-counter cream to see what happens, but my DH convinced me to get a test done before I mess with hormones. Some women use the cream and some get Rx for it. It should be applied between ovulation and menses only.

I found out that large fibroids can carry hormonal changes so it's possible that since mine are gone, my hormones are readjusted. The software I use for charting says I ovulated but based on the re-emergence of creamy CM this afternoon, I'm not so sure.
