Hiya, I have been pants this week at temping as at start of cycle so have only taken a few as I keep forgetting! :dohh:

I know your not supposed to take your temp. after getting out of bed, but what if you wake at 6am and look over at the clock and maybe drift in and out of sleep for 10 mins before going back to sleep for an hour? Would that screw up temps?

I have ds who usually ends up in bed with us anytime from 3 or 5am, and this seems to make me forget to take my temperature, or I wake with him fidgeting and go back to sleep after 10 mins of laying there.

So, is it the 'waking' or 'getting up' out of bed that throws the temps more?
My temps on the last cycle were all pretty stable regardless of getting up in the night and waking, but then I always took it at about 5am.

I must remember to do that tonight!!!

Some people say it makes a huge difference. I find it doesn't so much with me. As long as I take it at roughly the same time my temps are ok. I do vag temps though so I don't know if that makes a difference

I read somewhere that for each hour/minute you are late in reading ( not sure which it was ) after you add or take 1/10 to/from the temp you read - sorry it's really vague but am not an expert - but I do remember thinking that was a bit of a mare - also the fact you are waking up and going back to sleep could impact - if I find where I read it will post the link :) hx
