So I know I need to be temping but I am terrible about getting in the groove. I am SO tired when I wake up that moving is difficult (I usually have no strength to move fingers. I forget if I do get up in time frequently. And doing it at the same time seems impossible. It seems like my temp varies too much even if I get everything close too. Like change in blankets or change in pjs. I've tried vag and oral temping neither get me any closer to even. I can be at 94 one day and 98 another. My normal temp is around 97 so I know anything over 97 is not accurate.

Any ideas of how to get into the groove?

Hey, it took me months to get into this as well. I was just putting the thermometer right on your nightstand beside your clock, get into the habit the moment you open your eyes and look at the clock to take your temperature. Either vag or Oral, it doesn't really matter just be consistent for the specific month you're on. Trust me after a month or two of doing this will start to become a habit.

Yep agree - just keep your thermometer somewhere where you will look first thing. You do get into the habit after a while and after a few months I could see exactly when I ovulated. Keep at it - you'll get there!!

The first thing I tell my hubby in the morning is "Pass me the thermometer". How romantic :P.

:)

I often wke up at random times between 4 and 8 so I set an alarm for 4 am. I dont turn on the light, I just take my temp. After I wake up for the day, I check the temp and record it.

I've thought about setting the alarm in the middle of the night to temp. Not sure it will work. Since my foster boys are notorious for getting up between 12-3.

If I just make sure I do it right away after a deep sleep would that still be closer to accurate than same time with disruptions?
