I know this is abnormal sperm, but is this also related to morphology??

We got DH results back today and have been advised that IUI would be our next step. But we were so shell shocked we didn't really ask many questions! But when i search Teratozoospermia there isn't a lot of info available, but have seen a few ladies on here talk about morphology.

I also wondered if anyone would mind looking through and offering any advice they may have? Thanks :flower:

Dh results were:

Vol- 1.8 ml Slightly low, but wasn't concerned.
PH-8
Motility-60%
Progression-3-4
Abnormals- 90%

It also said

Oligozoospermia
Teratozoospermia

Its all so confusing, why does it have to be so hard??

Hi Zowiey,

The motility is good and the morphology is 10% normal so thats not too bad. However I guess the count is low thats why no numbers and just Oligozoospermia is written.

But try not to stress. There are many cases in which SA results have been improved by vitamins and changes in life style. Is your DH taking any supplements?

Also if this is the first test don't worry, SA results can vary.

We also have male factor issues but its more related to motility and morphology.

Good Luck!
:hugs:

My husband and I got this diagnosis today. The directions we were given were as follows:
STOP - Alcohol, Tobacco, Street Drugs, and Hot Tubs (As if we were doing that before lol)
DRINK - lots of fluids to make their body hydrated and semen thin
TAKE - Mega-Men (Available at GNC)
