Hi Ladies,
So, I'm having preterm labor, on bed rest, and taking terbatuline sulfate, since 3 weeks now. Goes under the brand name Brethine or Bricanyl, it's an asthma med actually, and for all I know not approved for the treatment of preterm labor, though studies show it's effective.
In any case, I'm wondering if anybody here takes the same stuff because I find it's being less effective every day and not sure at what point to call the doc. I've regular checks, and my cervix length has been going up and down, but I'm afraid I'll end up having a very preterm delivery. I'm also wondering about the long-term side-effects. I read it lowers the blood-pressure. Mine is so far doing well, but I'm quite worried about that point because I have low blood-pressure anyway, up to the point of passing out a few times.
