Hi there, I'm hoping someone has some insight for me.

Every month after ovulation I get terrible cramps in my uterus and area of right ovary. I also get bad low back pain and sore breasts that lasts until my period comes. Now, the strange part is that this NEVER happened until ttc. And it happens every month now.

I am really concerned that it is somehow affecting our ability to conceive although I'm not sure how. My hsg, ultra sound, hormones and all other testing came back normal and my dr had nothing to say except 'your uterus is expanding to prepare for pregnancy each month'- I don't really buy that.

Anyway, I'm curious if anyone has any idea about this. Thank you! :)

I get that. Especially on any fertility medication. I think I just notice it more now than when we weren't ttc. It probably for me has always been like that

Thanks for the reply. I'm not on fertility meds (might try fermera next cycle though) and I definitely didn't have this before ttc. I'm just worried that it is somehow affecting my ability to conceive- hopefully not!

Same issue here! I get mild lower back pain from 7-8 dpo, really AWFUL back pain 9 dpo which then eases off. 10-11 dpo spotting. Af arrives 11-12 dpo. I also have really sore boobs. I never used to have this and I'm sure it's why I'm not getting pregnant. I think it must be hormonal but no idea what is causing it.

I'm sorry to hear that😞 did you ask your dr about it? Sounds like your luteal phase is on the shorter side. I don't know if that has anything to do with it though. Our bodies are such a mystery during this time!! I hope you get your bfp soon❤️❤️

Yeh, for some reason I think maybe my ovulation isn't strong enough and so the corpus luteam breaks down early. But drs here in the uk don't recognise that and don't agree that there is any scientific evidence to prove it could be true. Just from what I've read. X

Interesting! If you end up with a fertility specialist (hopefully you won't and you'll have your bfp soon!!), they could track your ovulation with ultrasound. I'm doing that for the first time next Sunday and anxious to see what is going on in there!

I've had blood tests to confirm I ovulate and that's about all that's available here. I am starting ivf in march hopefully.

Let us know the outcome, hope it all goes well.

I see- hope the IVF is immediately successful <3

I'm on my last day of Fermera (thank God!) and waiting patiently for my first ultrasound on Sunday to see what's going on in there (hopefully good things!)

Best wishes to you!

One other thing I thought of- a lot of ladies drink red raspberry leaf tea to strengthen their uterus and lengthen their luteal phase. You can find it online- might be worth looking into if you're trying to lengthen your LP?
