I am looking into egg sharing so will need these tests done:
HIV (repeated 6-monthly)
CMV (Both IgG and IgM) (if IgG negative
repeat annually)
Hepatitis B & C (repeated 6-monthly)
RPR / TPHA (repeated annually)
Cervical swab or urine Chlamydia
Chromosomal analysis
Rubella
Cystic fibrosis (blood sample)
Sickle Cell
TaySachs
Thalassaemia

Has anyone else had these? Apart from the chlamydia one can they all be done with one blood sample? (Hate injections:dohh:) How long does it take for the results?

I had rubella done at my GP, and HIV, Hep B & C done at my IVF clinic. So I had two blood samples taken. I guess it will depend whether all the samples are analysed in the same laboratory, and they may require a specific amount of blood for each test.

Don't worry about injections. If you can cope with the blood tests then the injections for IVF will be easy. They are a lot less painful, as the needles are really really fine.

When do you get your bloods taken?

I am in the middle of changing doctors at the minute so probably a few weeks if I can get them done with the NHS.

Good luck for your tests. I'm sure you can get most of them done on NHS. Is your treatment private or funded?

It will be private. Its a 2 year wait on the NHS here.
