where to start haha!!
my baby was due on the 4th of august - i was almost positive i would go early! so the 2 weeks before my d day i was hopeful to meet him! was eventually given an enduction date of the 15th of August..
but at 8 days overdue when i went to my midwife i totally fed up waiting,
had been suffering some head aches but nothing major but on checking my blood pressure it was through the roof! was sent straight to the hospital for monitoring and put on meds but nothing was bringing down bp..
eventually was enduced with propess at 9 on the friday night (12th)
at 21 i was pretty niave that when they started the process he would be with me within the next few hours..
on the saturday night around 9 i sent oh home as was pretty sure i wasnt going to be having baby anytime soon - nurse came to check my progress about 10pm and just at that my waters gone all over the bed!..
babys heart rate was dipping so they decided to get me to labour room..
by the time i got there i noticed my waters were not clear but browny greeny, by the time my oh arrived we were told baby had done the toilet ( meconim staining) and was showing signs of destress..
after 2 shots of diamorphine gas and air my contractions were agony!
by 7am sunday 14th i was shattered and in agony and babys heart rate dipping each contraction..
i think its a discrase despite this i was left until 10am before they decided for Emergency section!
my baby boy was born 10.44 at 9lb exactly!
the birth for me although scary wasnt the hardest part..
after all my visitors were done and it was time to settle it was aparrant my sons blood sugars were dangerously low and he wasnt feeding,
i vaguely remember drifting off to sleep.. i woke at 5am to no baby!!!
yes the hospital had taken my son to the neonatal unit without telling me
he send 4 days there as he had swolled the meconium and due to the length of time he was left in before eventaully sectioning me it caused him problems
now you would never know anything had ever bothered him, i love my son hes my world and the birth was all worth it!!
