Just wondering if anyone is going to The Fertility Show in London in November or if anyone has been to one in the past.

My DH and I picked up a leaflet from the fertility clinic and are considering going. There's lots of interesting looking seminars that I'd like to go to.

Here's a link so you know what I'm speaking about https://www.fertilityshow.co.uk/

Cool :) We need to look into flights and hotels because it's a long way to go from here, but I'd love to if we can afford it.

Were do u live hun? I live near London so il just get the train! Why would ur dh refuse to go? Sophe?

I'm in Angus which is in between Aberdeen and Dundee so it's a long way for us lol!

Blimey yeh! U could prob get a well cheap flight if u wanted to go x

We went last year and it was very good! Lots of seminars and stands and people to talk to.

My DH thinks its embarrassing and won't go, he also won't take any supplements unless a DR tells him too and is scared of side effects, he even threw a packet of vitamins i bought him back at me.

I guess I could go alone couldn't I?

U say he said it's embarresing but everyone who is gona be at the show is gona be in the same boat I understand were he's coming from tho my hubby said the same!

I've just recently got my DH started on the Wellmans Conception vitamins. I have to put the tablet in his hand each night after tea of he wouldn't take it lol! I pointed out that after 4 years of trying and all the tests and procedures I've had to go through and may have to go through if we end up doing IVF, then taking a pill a day is the very least he can do lol!

There's no reason for him to be embarrassed, everyone's there for the same thing. Dragging him there if he's really not happy might not be the best idea. Do you have a friend or relative who can go with you? Maybe he'd feel bad that you were having to take someone else with you.

i am thinking of going too, it looks fab! hubby has said he will come too.

DH says he will go next year if nothings happened by then! men!

18 months and we are on our second round of clomid. We have had lots of tests and DH has low morphology and I have low progesterone but the DR says tha neither is significant to be the cause and classed as us unexplained.

DH is now taking the wellman cnoception he refused at first so maybe he just needs to get used to the idea or doing these things.

what are you tkaing the naproxen for? I've not heard of that, have tried all the others you bhave on your list! x

I've just started DH on that too. I never thought to before, probably because he's already got 2 children and his SA was fine. Every little helps though lol! I'm hoping to try clomid soon but the FS says I've got to get my weight down first.

The naproxen, omeprazole and hydroxycholoquine are for arthritis. I just put them on there for when I'm asking advice about other supplements, so I don't take anything I shouldn't.

oh ok so its not to help with TTC! thought it was something i could try.. maybe not then!

Hope you can manage to get yur weight down, I am over weight but not by enough to be refused clomid luckily for me, i find the TTC so dissheartening at times I end up cooking loads and going our for meals etc, i guess its my only comfort, infact yesterday DH was away for the night so I had a sly mcdonalds.. I know its so hard to loose it when feeling down already.. hope the thought of trying clomid will motivate you x good luck x

Lol no it's an anti-inflammatory and I have to stop taking it as soon as I get a BFP again, so I wouldn't recommend it :)

Yeah I've been comfort eating a lot since the m/c. I've been to see the dietitian and the counsellor at the fertility clinic though so I'm hoping they help. It just seems like such a huge mountain to climb but I know it's for a good reason and will mean that when I do get pregnant I'll have a much lower chance of complications so it'll all be worth it.
