Well after nearly 3 years, 3 losses and a very long and terrifying 9 months of pregnancy I am pleased to announce the birth of my stunning baby boy, Bryce Elliot.

Brcye came into this world at 9:38 pm on June 20th He weighed 6lbs and 5oz. His birth was quick and traumatizing, but worth every minute of the pain.

Due to my previous losses, I was seen by a high risk OB. Around 34 weeks my doc suggested that we should consider an induction at 38 weeks. My first delivery was quite fast and because of my blood clotting condition, it was recommended that I deliver in a 'controlled' environment.

So on June 20th at 6:15 am, I got 'the call'! The nurse said it was time to come in for my induction. We got our things together, went out for a last breakfast together and headed to the hospital. Around 11 am, I was checked for the first time and found out that I was already 3cm dilated and my waters were then broken. I was told to walk for a few hours in hopes labour would begin naturally. No such luck, around 3 pm I started the pictocin. I started contracting regularlary around 6 pm. At 6:30 pm, I started to feel a little uncomforatable. By 7pm, I was BEGGING for the epidural! My nurse checked me and said I was only 3cm still and needed to wait. They gave me a drug called 'fenalon' (not sure the of spelling). All it did was make me feel drunk, didn't take the pain away at all. By around 8pm I was screaming in pain, so they gave me laughing gas. This helped me focus, but again did nothing for the pain. Finally around 8:30 pm the epidural was ordered. The doc showed up around 8:45. They got the tube in my spine around 9pm. Then right after that I felt the urge to push! I asked the nurse to check me again and low and behold I was 10 cm and the baby was ready to come out! I started pushing before the drugs were even administered, so I just continued with the gas. The pain was pretty surreal, but luckily for me it was quick. Baby Bryce came out and was perfect in every way.
