Madeline has taken on a new activity during the hours of darkness...and it's driving me crazy!
Whenever she is tired she puts her hands over her face, and with her right hand pulls the sleeve on her left arm. This is okay - but the past couple of weeks at bedtime (and nap time) she's been pulling the sleeve and slipping her arm out of it, so her arm goes inside her vest and gets stuck down by her side. This causes major uproar of course because she can't get her arm free. So, I release her from her home-made straight-jacket, and within the blink of an eye, back in it goes.
She sleeps really well, and so will drop off with her arm stuck by her side - but I am worried in case she does this and turns over in the night onto her front. It worries me in case she needs to move her head or push herself up and she can't because her arm is stuck. Every night I pop my head in before we go to bed, and the right arm is fine...but the left sleeve is empty! Such a strange thing to do!
Is my LO the only mentalist here...or do your LOs have this, or any other, strange night time habit?
