The year I was born, 1989, was the year that Toys R us first launched and it occured to me that this generation of young mums, aged 16 - 26 or so are really the first set of parents that have fond memories of Toys R Us.

I well - I can't wait! I still get this wierd underlying excitment from walking into Toys R Us, it smells the same, looks the same...it awakens my childhood. Everytime my Dad drove past the very large branch near where I used to live in England me and my brother begged and pleaded to go in - even just for a look!

I cannot wait to bring my own excitable child into a place that holds fond memories for me. For our parents it probably wasn't the same, it was just 'a big toy shop' where you occasionally went cause the kids wanted to go.

I'm going to be awful! I literally won't be able to ignore the pleas to visit - it'll be my parental downfall.

Awww exactly the same! I love Toys'r'us, so many fond memories of raiding the teddy bear section! Me and mum went their at christmas to buy my cousins some things and we ended up spending hours there! :) Cannot wait for me, OH and lil'un to be there! haha! :)

omg i LOVE toys 'r' us, ive not been since i was a kid but i can still remember exactly how the play area looked (yes there was a specific play area in the one near me despite the whole shop being a giant play area hehe) and i can remember getting my first doll from there :D

omg i'd forgotten about going to toys 'r' us because there isnt one near me ... there is one near my mum however so i'll definately be going with LO

I love Toys 'R Us!
I remember the old adverts and stuff, used to get all excited going into the shop!

They recently built one nearby & I've been twice and looooove it :D

:O when i've passed my test and stuff then i'll have to take you and aiden :D

Yes! You must definately go! :o!

The baby stuff is really resonable too - think I may end up getting a crib from there if it stays at that lovely low price :D

I never went to one as a child (was also born in 89)

I got so excited when I first walked in their looking for baby things. Awakened my childhood
xx

I am the same way! I have cousins that are 6 and 8 and I always get way more excited than they do to go. I can't wait to take Madi there, I already get so excited just for BabiesRus. I think it's the whole "R-Us" thing :p

I love Toys R Us! Unfortunately the one we have here is kind of ghetto and dirty :[ I'll have to drive south a bit to get to a nice one, but it's worth it.

Ahh i love it too!
They have such good offers on in there sometimes :D x
