The year I was born, 1989, was the year that Toys R us first launched and it occured to me that this generation of young mums, aged 16 - 26 or so are really the first set of parents that have fond memories of Toys R Us.
I well - I can't wait! I still get this wierd underlying excitment from walking into Toys R Us, it smells the same, looks the same...it awakens my childhood. Everytime my Dad drove past the very large branch near where I used to live in England me and my brother begged and pleaded to go in - even just for a look!
I cannot wait to bring my own excitable child into a place that holds fond memories for me. For our parents it probably wasn't the same, it was just 'a big toy shop' where you occasionally went cause the kids wanted to go.
I'm going to be awful! I literally won't be able to ignore the pleas to visit - it'll be my parental downfall.
