We ALL have someone who's extremely hard to shop for. Let's just face it that some times gift cards really are completely impersonal and it's better if we can just finally figure out what the heck would ring their jingle bells. But then there's the woe and worry that what we think is ideal will actually make their stomach churn.

For me? It's my very own husband. He's so... Eclectic. He LOVES gaming, movies, the outdoors. Problem? Every time I see something I want to grab for him he winds up grabbing it for himself... to the point where I've even had to go return things to avoid giving him the same thing I suddenly find on our coffee table or in the PS3/WII/XBOX... Yeah we have a lot of gaming systems. Last time I bought him a watch the band was waaaay too small for the behemoth (he was a wrestler and football player all through high school and college and is still built like a linebacker -- necklaces and watches tremble at his mighty approach). Already replaced his tattered wallet two years ago and we all know how well Fossil wallets hold up (he won't need a new one for another ten at the very least :dohh: ) So.... I'm stuck.

How about you all?

I tell my b/f every year he isnt allowed to buy himself anything from like november onwards!!! haha incase i want to get him it. he just has to wait lol

hehe it works! slap the buying-ban on! :) xxx

How about something to do with football/wrestling?
The person I always struggle withis my dad! xXx

I've had to tell oh before what part of his present was after standing in a shop while he debated buying the very same thing.
I always find my parents really awkward to buy for as they don't seem to be into much, last time I asked my mum what she wanted she asked for tea towels! This year I have decided to give them a joint food hamper as I know it will at least get used.

Im giving my dad an hours worth of tattoo time. He wants a new one but it's going to take hours so I though atleast it's something that will stay with him lol x

My dad is so hard to buy for! i cant stand it!
hopefully i will find something he will love this year!
x

I put a ban on my OH too! I say if you see anything tell me DON'T buy it and it's worked so far he saw a coat he loved so I've insisted I got it for xmas :winkwink:

My hubby is impossible to buy for as everytime I ask him he says "I don't want anything!" Even though he knows I'll buy him something anyway. I wish he'd just give me some ideas so I don't have to just pick something random.

my OH is CLASSIC "oh Honey just having you in my arms on Christmas morning is enough for me. I don't need anything else" too. That's definitely part of making my Christmas shopping for him so darn hard.

The Football/Wrestling thing is a good idea. Problem is he follows Canadian Football and I'm an NFL girl all the way (Patriots and Steelers all the way woot!)

I THINK I've figured it out though. He's wanted a "pacman" frog for the last 7 years. Keeps bringing up how awesome they are etc. I'm thinking he's going to be gifted the froggie of his dreams and the works to go with it. That way it's not clothing and I KNOW he's keen. I can live with it too, not too big, not too noisy, and the disgruntled expression with "angry eyebrows" just cracks me up.
