Hi this is weird but I've always been a worrier!

Basically I'm 28 years old and have a good lifestyle. My father in law had a heart attack 3 weeks ok thankfully he's ok but since I've been paranoid that I'm going to have one! Any niggle I get I worry!

I start to pay more attention to my breathing and its becoming a pain, all tho this week It's not bothered me as much as I do think my time of the month is a triggering point!

Anybody else have the same! I know it's not a heart attack but can't stop the worry! I google things lol and it makes me worse!!

It sounds like health anxiety to me :flower: I would advice against googling illnesses though, it only makes the anxiety higher. I suffer from anxiety, and if I ever google a symptom, I do it together with the word anxiety, and that way I feel more assured that is what it is (which is most usually is). A lot of people that have a loved one get sick, imagine the same is going to happen to them, heart attacks and cancer of relatives or friends show you how uncertain the world is, and the anxiety it causes makes us look inside us, scanning for danger. My advice would be to find some time to do relaxation exercises , or meditation, that would help you regulate your breathing XXXX

Anxiety can manifest in many ways-- personally, I have more social anxiety. I'm a very social person- but I worry about things I say/do or other people say/do to the point where it festers and bothers me- even silly things the other person probably doesn't give a second thought. I don't stress about major stuff- just the smaller interpersonal things. I always have... it's gotten worse as I've gotten older. I'm seeing a counselor since my Mom passed- as it really got bad from that point. I'd be fine, then suddenly snappy and irritable over something small...

I would suggest you discuss with your doctor and see what they recommend. You could try counseling first, or there are medications that might help too. I'm considering one called Wellbrutrin... I've heard good things from friends who are on it. They have more depression than anxiety- but it does help with both. tbh- anything I can do to keep healthy and more relaxed in a busy and crazy life... I would at least give it a go! :)

Best of luck!
