Having my first girl after three boys I've become a little obsessed with buying girly headbands and hair bows. Then thought why not make my own. So I've been making cute little bows, organza headbands etc and now thinking about setting up my own little business which I'm thinking of naming Lilia's Bowtique. Lilia is the name of my unborn daughter. Do you think the name is catchy enough?
I'm also unsure of whether to go down the eBay route to sell them, make my own website or start a business page on Facebook. Does anyone have any experience with any of these? Which would be best?
And also, if the business does go well, is there a certain amount I can earn or will I need to let tax credits know as soon as I start selling?

Sorry for all the questions.
And thank you in advance.

I wouldn't go near eBay as people looking on there are wanting a bargain . Start off with a Facebook page . Make business cards and hand them out at your local baby groups / antenatal etc . You can also make a blog too but you will need to have time to keep up with updating it . Once your stock is in place , you've sold a few bits , then I would commit to a website . Step by step does it . You don't want to rush into it .
You need to have something special about ur designs too as I've seen so many boring headbands . People won't want to pay for them if it's what they can get from primark or down tesco . They have to be eye popping and unique . Keep a look out for what's on trend for girls fashion and then add your creativeness to it .
I make and sell my jewellery line from home and believe me your designs have to be eye catching in order to sell online .

You can try etsy / folksy but they charge per listing fee and selling fee . X
