and it just didn't seem like Christmas. Was it the same for anyone else?

For me I guess it was due to the rush, rush of the day. We normally are at home for the day but this year we went to MIL's for dinner. Before trekking out, we got stuck in the snow in our driveway for an hour almost hitting a telephone pole a few times sliding. After that, we went to pick up Dan's son. Between getting stuck, driving etc. that took up a good 3 hours off the day.

Seriously, it was a weird Christmas and didn't seem very festive.

I kinda felt the same hun although in the end had a good day :) Before xmas I couldn't get into it at all but it was ok, I went through the motions and it fell into place :)

:hugs:

Yes i feel the same also , it didnt feel festive.
It was just like any other day with presents.
Well for me anyway

:hugs:
This x-mas was definitely different for me
But I get what you're saying, between all the cooking and rushing and burned chickens I had little time to actually sit down and enjoy the celebration.

it didn't seem like Christmas to me either-though it was nice, it was more like a birthday celebration because of all of the gifts... not to mention how warm it was out-it was 15 degrees!!! which was odd-nice of course but odd...

same here... wasn't overly ... festive.
not sure why.
i'm assuming a lot of it had to do with the stress of all the economic stuff. OH and I didn't even exchange gifts this year because we wanted to make sure we had everyone else covered..

ohh well, here's hoping next year is better for all of us! :)

Yeah it was exactly the same here but its the first year I havent spent it with my parents so that could have been why. My parents are a bit partyish and Matts parents are more chilled out. Which is fine, but just didnt really feel like christmas, feel like we missed out a bit after all that preparation!

Also fell out with the in laws on christmas eve so christmas day wasn't particularaly pleasent. Never mind!

xxx

I felt the exact same way. My family is so used to being in one place for all of Christmas, but with my DH's family we have to drive all over gods green earth and ensure that everyone is happy.

On top of that, being 8 months prego did not help my festive mood much.

Next year I vow to be more festive and create a tradition for my little man!

:hugs:
