How does everyone think their hubby or partner will react when they're in labour?
i think mine will probably do just fine, until theres blood lmao, he'll probably take one look and faint xD

My husband has already decided I'm not going to cope and I'm going to be an embarrassment!! I think when it comes to it though he will be very supportive and caring.

i'm expecting a very unsure looking hubs in various shades of grey

My husband is one of those who is very intrigued and I know will be best friends with the medical team! He'll be wanting to know what everything is for and does etc

I have no idea, he tells me he is very supportive, he has been through two births before with his previous partner one was still born the other is now a healthy young man (9 years old) so its been a while for him, I hope he will be very supportive and know what he is doing.

My OH has told me that he is staying firmly head end during labour! He has a weak stomach so it's probably for the best lol.

i dread to think what i'll be saying when im in labour and having painful contractions. i seem to remember i swore a hell of a lot when i had my first.. and everytime i swore, i remember saying sorry to everyone in the room xD.
i hope i dont break o/h's hand....

My hubby is in the army, he's seen a few battlefield sights in his time and is fascinated by anything medical lol. He's normally cool and calm in a crisis but the other night I (according to my midwife) had practice contractions andmy DH was panicking saying "Oh my god I haven't even packed the hospital bag - we've got no bloody cot!!" Ha ha I laughed so hard I nearly pee'd myself lol XXX

on the two occasions ive had mw appointments ive had bloods took and my partner had to lay on the bed as he felt faint and the colour drained from him it doesnt fill me with confidence i must say.I will probably be reassuring him.

My husband thinks he will be fine with it all, i reacon he will be a mess! he wont know what to do with himself lol

My OH was fantastic! He is usually very squemish and not a fan of blood but he said it wasnt at all like that! Not sure what he would be like if I had to have a csection though!

The only thing he found hard was knowing what to do as he didnt want to just sit thee. Even though there really isnt much he can do to help!! xx

I think my hubby will do amazing. Blood doesn't bother him and everything else will probably interest him. I just know when it gets down to it he'll probably try and make a joke. Doesn't seem like he can go through anything serious without making a joke!

I expected my husband to be rubbish to be honest. I thought he would panic and get stressed. Hes not very good at handling emotion and usually just gets frustrated. But... he was brilliant! He stayed calm and positive, held my hand when i needed him, fetched me things etc... He was an emotional wreck when Lily finally came out, he was shaking and crying but it was lovely. x

Mine has worked in theatres for years and is no stranger to blood and guts. Not sure how he'll cope when he's on the other side though - I will firmly instruct him to stay away from the business end though, no need for him to see that!
