Those Using Known/Personal Donors

Do you provide any compensation? I'm not really talking about cash payment for services LOL but I'm considering doing/buying something nice for our donor. We know our donor of course but does that sound crazy or too over the top in general?

cottonlily: i was thinking the same thing, but i have no idea what to get him. our donor has been really great (paying for the expensive STD tests himself and having us come meet him at the testing clinic when he picked them up; coming to our place to donate after working long long days). if you think of something let me know! all i've come up with so far is a nice bottle of champagne... but that's not really much considering what he's doing for us.

btw..SC as in USC/Clemson country?

i haven't really thought about this. i don't know where you live but in uk it's illegal to pay for sperm and i'm pretty sure that means giving gifts or payment in kind too. i give my donor petrol money but i think if i were to get him a gift i'd have to do it on the quiet just to be safe

haven't a clue what i would get him though, he's a health nut so champagne would be out of the question lol.

maybe after the baby is born send him a thankyou card with the babys footprint inside?
