I had a D&C 7 weeks ago following a mmc, I just wondered how long it took for you to get a BFN as I done a test last week after not having AF and it was positive, i've done a few more since which have all been positive. Went to GP who sent urine off to lab to be tested and results came back inconclusive so had to repeat 3 days later, so i done that and the day I handed the second lot in I started to bleed a bit, it wasnt like a proper period and more brown in colour but i assumed it was AF and that second set of results would come back neg, so today my GP phoned to say that these results were inconclusiveaswell and I have to hand in another sample to be tested. Anyone else had this?xx

hi hun sorry i have no advise but i'm sorry to hear you are in limbo like this not knowing. it could be that you are pg again or just hcg from your m/c.

if i were you test again with a home test and if that is too positive i would request a blood test as these are more sensitive and should give you a better answer. x

Im pretty sure your HCG levels are sposed to drop more or less straight away when you have a D&C as they remove everything that was in your uterus

Is it possible you could be pregnant again?

Hope you get some answers soon hun  xx

after my dnc last yr i tested the very next day and was a very defo neg !!

sorry for ur loss x

I'm 7.5 weeks since my D&C & still testing BFP, but only faint.

I'm told (unless you are pregnant again) it usually means you have a tiny bit of placenta left behind, which you body should dissolve on it's own eventually.

A quantative blood test for the pregnancy homone might be better for you, then it will give you an exact figure of how much & you can see if it's going down.. or up!
