was just wondering when your getting their dress or outfit, i.e. how long prior to your special day :D

also, any inspiration for a beautiful dress? or a lovely shop?

i'm just having my maddilynne, and i've been looking for 'the' dress for maddi, and i've found a couple of dresses i like, but not 'the' dress yet!

was also wondering how much she's going to grow, she just keeps getting taller :dohh: so obviously worrying about this too!

Hey...we are getting married Aug 7th and will have my goddaughter as flower girl. She will be nearly 3. Will probably look from Easter. I am pretty sure as she will be 3 in the Nov i will have to get a age 3 but might have to have it altered slightly as shes quite small.

I saw one at the wedding show in Birmingham and it was gorgeous and had these gorgeous fairy wings on the back with all these beads and that, it was gorgeous! hehe

xx

I can't help with shops or anything like that as my flowergirl's dress is being made by my OH's aunty along with my dress. She'll be 2 and a half when I get married and I expect her dress to be made in time for the wedding but not with a lot of time to spare. If I was shopping for it I'd have probably got it earlier this month when I got the older bridesmaid's dress- so about 3 months before the wedding and then had any alterations done nearer the time if they were needed.

Beca

I'm having my nephew and niece as page boy and flower girl, they will be 4.5 and 2.5 at the wedding. Don't have anything for them yet, going shopping in the next few days. Issue is that they live abroad so can't bring them shopping with me to try things on, so will err on the bigger side and my mum will take them over when next she goes, and if alterations are needed close to March, hoping my sil can do them. :)

As we're having a combined wedding/baptism, I'll need to get an outfit for Adam as well, but I want to get a traditional robe for him so 6-9 months should be ok (he'll be just about 7 months).

Have only been looking in Debenhams and Bhs for bridesmaid/page boy things, does anyone else know where else is good?

I'm not sure how much you want to spend but I think the 'little bevan' dresses are really sweet.
We're going to wait to get C's outfit until May I think, 2 months before.

Probably a couple of weeks before, as baby isn't born yet!

thanks for all your replies :)
melanie - i'm looking at little bevan now, but this it's too far from us :( they look gorgeous!
i love children's salon on line, they have some beautiful things, liked monsoon but didn't have the right size, and i wasn't keen on debenhams or bhs :dohh:
john lewis do some nice bits, but might go back to my dress shop too, picking for maddi is worse than me

Could you get something made? That way it would be exactly what you want.

Well we weren't but obviously now we will have an extra special little Page Boy or Flower Girl :cloud9:

With them being about 8 weeks old, they obviously won't be doing the trotting down the aisle thing but we will be buying them a suitably beautiful outfit. If it's a lad, an awesome little suit like his Daddy (just for some photos) and if a girlie, a beautiful little dress I'd imagine. We will change them straight afterwards into something far comfier for them but we would like some photos of us all in their little outfits as it will be our first family event :cloud9:

Maddi will look beautiful in whatever you choose hunny, just like her Mummy

I've already got Caitlin's dress  I've had it for about 2 months now LOL.

I got it in an age 4 as she will be nearly 4 but it may need taking up a bit :) Wil get alterations done nearer the time xx
