I already have a little girl called Molly and her baby brother is coming in December. Really struggling with names...we are a bilingual family so I need a name that suits both languages.

I have suddenly gone off all the names I had thought of before I found out it was a boy. Now I'm falling for Alfred. Nicknames either Alfie or Freddie which I think suit a little boy and Alfred can be used as an adult. Although I quite like it for a little boy too.

Honest opinions?

What name is it to go with ? I like it deffo love Freddie that's on my boys list

Do you mean Middle name or sibling name? Molly is sister and I haven't thought about the Middle name yet!

Love it - both Alfie and Freddie are adorable. :)

Middle hun. Though it goes well with Molly too Alfred & Molly cute

Jag gillar Alfred! ;) (am I right that Swedish is language #2?)

Molly was also on our list for a long time. I think Alfred is nice, especially as Alfie is a sweet nickname in English.

It's lovely, I like it because you have an option of nicknames and a 'serious' name for the birth certificate.

I love both Alfie and Freddie and both go nicely with Molly

I have a Freddie and we have Frederick on his birth certificate to make him have a proper name option when he's older. Part of me wishes I'd chosen Alfred now :D

Thanks everyone! Looks like Alfred might be the one. hubby seems to be in agreement too :)

yes sedish is second language! Är du svensk surprisebub?

Yay! Glad hubby is on board and you both love it :) I think it is lovely for both bridging the two cultures, and being a good little boy and grown up name.

Jag var inte fodd I Sverige, men min hela familjen kommer fran norden. If the opportunity ever came up, I would move there in an instant!

Alfred is a nice choice! I was going to ask what the 2nd language is and seeing that it's Swedish, I have no insight to offer as to how well it goes for your second langauge but in English I like it! It's funny that my last name is Swedish but it's just so far away I have sadly no connection whatsoever to the country of origin.
