What are your thoughts on the name Brooklyn?

Middle name ideas (which do you prefer?):

Brooklyn Sophia
Brooklyn Ella
Brooklyn Kiara

I know in some countries this may be a "boy's name" but that's not the case in the US, which is where I live. I would only consider using it for a girl, and find it to be beautiful and feminine.

Can you tell me how many Brooklyns you know, ages, and what their personalities are like?

I know a boy Brooklyn who is almost 2. Blonde hair, blue eyes, cheeky.

I wouldn't use the name but I don't dislike it. I like Brooklyn Sophia best.

Brooklyn strikes me as being quite 'chavvy' as the English girls would say. I like Brooke, though.

Out of your choices I prefer Brooklyn Sophia.

I like Brooklyn. I would personally not use it as it is too 'American' for me and I go for more traditional names but that doesn't mean it's not a nice pretty name.

Brooklyn Sophia is very pretty

I don't know any Brooklyns again because it's not really a name you hear in the UK (other than the Beckhams!)

It's hard for me to find a name I love. I prefer modern, trendy names. There are a few "traditional" classic names that I find pretty - but they are always extremely popular (Ava, Olivia, Emily, Isabella, Lily, Ella, Sophia) but I want a more unique name. The challenge is that all the modern, trendy, unique names get negative feedback on baby name sites.... but "popular" traditional and/or "old lady" type names are loved (not my style)!! It makes it so challenging!!

I actually like Brooklyn! It's definitely a more American name, but that obviously isn't a problem lol. Plus I love the nickname of Brooke! I only know of one Brooklyn, and she's my age, so twenty - I don't know her too well, so can't say much on her personality.

My daughters name is Brooklyn and I live in Canada. I've met a few Brooklyn's since having her and I love the name! Don't care what others think. I also have a Kayden which I know is popular and lots of people dislike but it works for us ☺️
