I just found out i have a tilted uterus and that it is gonna make getting pregnant even more difficult.Does anyone else have a tilted uterus???? Do you have any info on it??? im trying to learn as much about it as possible.

I have one! Did somebody actually tell you that it would make getting pg more difficult? It has never really been mentioned except it can make some of the scans more difficult.

The lady that did my ultrasound said it can make it more difficult because its harder for the sperm to get to the eggy. Its still possible just a little harder. But im gonna wait till i talk to the doc before i completely jump on the band wagon that its gonna be more difficult. Ill let you know what my doc says when i talk to him. If he confirms it or not.

The other thing that i have heard is that you can be more successful 'doing it from behind' with a tilted uterus. Am pretty sure it worked for us first time although a tilted uterus is only one of our list of obstacles!

HHHHHmm ill have to try that. Ya along with a tilted uterus i dont ovulate and i dont have periods and am waiting on the doc to let me know if i have pcos. I had a ultrasound today and the ultrasound technician said it looked like i pcos, but i have to wait on the doc to confirm it.

I have a tilted uterus but my clinic nurse said its no different to some women having blonde hair and some brown, its just a variation and neither is particulary right or wrong and very common, like someone said up there it can just make scanning/smears etc a little more difficult but thats all, up until now its never stopped me becoming pg so I really dont think you have anything to worry about with regards to that and concentrate on getting your other little hurdles sorted, good luck hun xxx

Hi, I have a titled uterus, I'm on our 2nd fresh ICSI cycle due to MF. Our fertility clinic have told me that this would not cause any problems TTC :hugs:

My uterus is tilted to the right. FS said no issues at all in decreasing fertilisation if I had gone for natural method (if OH didn't have sperm problems) as a lot of women have that.

I have one too. The nurse doing my smear test last time told me and I was convinced it may be the reason for us not conceiving - but no - that was a whole other issue.

I spoke to my GP and she said it shouldn't make a difference. I googled it too and plenty of people have it and don't have any trouble getting pregnant.

If you are concerned talk to your Dr and find out which way it is tilting. I've read that lying on your stomach can help the sperm to find their way, rather than putting your feet up, but obviously this depends on which way it's tilting

I doubt it would cause any problems getting pregnant, but it wouldn't hurt to be able to give them a helping hand in the right direction :winkwink:

I have a tilted uterus, when they found it after my MC they said I wouldn't have problems concieveing due to a tilted uterus.

But I do think that doing it from behind may actually help, as I am sure that is how I became pregnant both times! x
