Time off for Antenatal Appointments

I am pregnant and I have two hospital appointments on the same day. I've just been asked to take it as annual leave? Am I right to feel completely p*ssed off about it?!!!

I dont think they are allowed to do that in the UK.

No they can't ask you to do that. All antenatal appointments that are scheduled within work time in the UK are covered by your work, not through leave.

I'd contact your HR about this and if they say the same thing, contact citizens advice xx

You are allowed time off for appointments.

If your appointments are maybe at 9am and then 3pm they are probably allowed to ask you to work between as the time off is for appointment and probably reasonable travel time.

Nope you are entitled to time off for appointments including things like parent craft classes.

I scheduled mine for the last appointment of the day so I just left early.
