Someone recommended this to me and as we are away at family with very light curtains we tried it.

Just lined the windows, shiny side out using tin foil and blu tak and it's really effective! As dark as my grobag blackout blind at home - not pitch black but I don't like it pitch black.

A good travel solution!

Whenever anyone asks about what blackout blind, I say save yourself 30pounds and use tin foil! Ever since its been really light in the mornings I put up tin foil. Covered it from corner to corner with tape and you literally can not see a thing!! Its awesome. We do the same to our window when DH works nights and sleeps during the day. :)

Really?

I have a black out blind but LO has started staying at my mums. She has 3 windows in her spare room so it would cost her a fortune to buy b/blinds for them all so this is brilliant!
