15 months pp with no AF- and little one still nurses a TON day and night. Nursing has turned me into a skeleton so thinking that has something to do with it! We would love to have a less than 3 year age gap and I'm hoping I do not have to wean completely to get AF back (wouldn't consider until 2) so am getting antsy for her return!

Anyway- just wondering if there are any real life examples of women doing things to kick start AF and if they've worked or if you've tried but had to ultimately wean in order for AF to return.

Maybe try some natural progesterone cream? I haven't used it since I had my baby but I used it to keep my cycles regular...

My son was 24 months and no return of AF, I night weaned him and got him down to about 4-5 times in 24 hours. I also made sure to eat at least 2,000 calories per day and also used progesterone cream. I didn't get AF but I got pregnant :) due in about 7 weeks! BFing DS1 still with success too! :)

ETA: Love your blog!

It is quite possible to get pregnant without AF coming back. I was in a room with 9 breastfeeding mums the other dat and two of the babies there were conceived as second children she mum had no return of periods.

cut down on bf but temp and do opks so you don't miss it i got pregnant but very long cycles so if i missed o i had to wait another few months
