To help us TTCers - how long did it take u 2 fall PG?

Hi gals,

As you know, when you're TTCing, you're constantly thinking 'how long will it take? Could I be trying to years? What's the average?' etc.

So I'd find it useful if you gals could list how long it took you to get PG just to get

an idea of averages on this board.

it was just an unexpected blessing.
we had unprotected sex twice
after that we broke up

(We were normally avoiding).

We did TTC for about 9 months before i got pregnant. I would say keep charting your temperatures and BD the right time, that should work. Timing is very important !

I got PG the second month I came off the pill. So no long term unprotected sex for us- much to OH's disgust. And now my libido has taken my brain off on an around the world tour...

So I guess we were lucky, as we were planning to get PG.

Me and James wern't TTC, I was unwell so my pill didn't work and 14 weeks later here we are!
I quite like the term 'unexpected blessing' lol thats a nice one

I was actually never trying to concieve with all of my pregnancies. I know that the doc says timing is everything and i guess I have great timing LOL. I know for most my friends the average is around 3 months after going off the pill.

i had my last period on july 11 and husband and I decided that i wouldn't continue with the pill after that.

However..........

It turns out we got pregnant at first try!!!!!!

I did start the folic acid on July 1st, but it's just such random luck, I still have a hard time believing it happened.

Me and OH started TTC July of '06 but we weren't really paying too much attention (i didn't pay attention to when I'd be ovulating, etc) and I became pregnant February of '07, miscarried in April of '07 and became pregnant again (after not trying much at all) in late August of '07. I was suprised how long it took the first time. We'd started to think one of us was infertile but I guess it was just nature's way of telling us to wait a bit

I had been off bc for 2 1/2 years, so I really thought it was going to take us a long time. We got incredibly lucky and got pregnant the first month we tried.

It took us 2 years, lots od doc visits, an HSG, surgery and clomid to get the BFP...but it was all totally worth it!

I fell pregnant a year and two months after coming off the pill, but we weren't trying. If we'd worked out fertile times and stuff like that it may have happened quicker, who knows

Good luck to you anyway If you've been on contraception like the pill they say it can be up to 6 months for it to clear from your system, so don't give up

The night we started trying he he, Just so happened when we decided to start trying I was ovulating within a few days. I havn't been on the pill in years and we used natural methods of contraception for 4 years (since he begged me to come off the implant due to my evilness) and this is my second. My first was not planned and turned out to be the best accident of my life
