To my babies

I wrote this. It is for my two children, Jasper and Makena...


pregnant ladies, giggling, trading stories
rubbing their tummies, making plans
I take a pill, and write a note on the calendar.
Another test, another day
no baby, no chance, no hope.
Tears flow, my heart aches.
Looking down, I see my precious little girl
I look at her, and thank God for her
She is mine. My little miracle.
I am so happy, but my heart is hurting.
I am angry. WHY? I am a good person.
I am a good mother.
Hush now, don't speak.
Hide this pain away. No one wants to hear.
You have two children. Don't be selfish.
How bad is it anyway?
My heart is in pieces. My babies are in heaven.
I kiss two tear-stained cheeks, and say good-night.
I love you my babies. I know just how precious you both are.
