Too early for morning sickness?

Alright, so, I stopped BC on Septembre 12th and my last widthdrawal AF was on the 15th. OH and I have BD just about every day since AF stopped, and with the exception of the 1st 2 pills from the pack that should have been October, I haven't been on BC since. (Took us a couple extra days to decide we were ready to stop preventing.)

I've only been temping & watching my CM this week, so I don't have a whole lot to go on except that I'm pretty confident I'm not about to O right now.

I had cramping & spotting last weekend, and I have absolutely no idea it that was O, implantation or just adjusting hormones.

The last couple of days I've been feeling a little queasy here and there, especially if I take my prenatal before I've had breakfast, but this morning has been particularly symptomatic. I just nearly hurled (sorry!) after a handful of nuts while sitting here in the university's food court, waiting for class time.

I have no other symptoms of being sick in a more traditional sense, I haven't felt nausea like this since I was 19 (I'm 26), and I haven't actually vomited since I was 17, so this isn't a typical autumn illness sort of thing for me.

I'm not expecting AF until November 19th, since my average cycle before I went on BC was 33-35 days, but while on BC I was 28 days down to the hour.

I was feeling rather bloated and heavy-breasted last weekend, and I'm not particularly feeling that way right now, but I don't think those things went away. I think I just got used to the feeling quickly. I have continued to have slight cramps here and there all week, though, a lot like mild pre-AF cramps.

I can't really speak to a heightened sense of smell / sensitivity to food smells because I've always been that way.

I'm slightly pudgy around the belly normally, but I've noticed lately that under that fluffy layer my abdominal wall is firmer than usual, too.

So... help! Opinions? Suggestions? When should I test?

I think you might be a bit early for those symptoms. They could be your head or they could be pregnancy... some women do spot around ovulation, but I think it takes a while to get real symptoms. I would like to know your results though as I can test around the same time... Assuming the stupid witch af doesn't show up on time..... hope you are successful....

If symptoms are from the buildup of hCG in your bloodstream, then a test would -very- likely show a + by now. It isn't 100% guaranteed, of course; every woman is different. There are definitely individuals who get false negatives early on, but it is fairly rare to have actual pregnancy symptoms before a test would be able to detect a pregnancy. Now you could be having symptoms of post-ovulation/fluctuation in progesterone level, which doesn't necessarily preclude a positive test in the future. I get every. single. pregnancy symptom known to mankind when my progesterone levels go up. The last time I had vivid dreams, threw up a few days in a row, and I had several of my family members ask if I was pregnant because my boobs swelled a cup size and my stomach got bloated and hard feeling. It was sooo disappointing when I got negatives HPTs then AF the next day.

Basically, it depends on when you ovulated if it's too early for "real" pregnancy symptoms (minimum is usually ~5-12 days post O for implantation to occur, but for many women symptoms won't even start until 6-8 weeks). You could have O'ed very early on in your cycle and starting temping too late to catch it. The only way to know is to test and/or wait and test. Just don't let a negative right now disappoint you too much (believe me I know that's easier said than done), because there's always the possibility that the symptoms are post-O ones and you could still have implantation and a BFP. I know how much the wait sucks :-/. Lots of :dust: to you!

I hadn't even considered that these could be post-O symptoms, thanks!

It's been a while since I was on mother nature's cycles, and since I was single at the time there was no reason to wonder about bloating or swollen breasts, but I don't ever remember nausea occurring mid-cycle.

I refuse to test before November 20th at the earliest, because assuming a normal cycle length then AF won't appear until the 12th-19th range. I don't want to be unduly disappointed if I test prematurely. (Let's see if that resolve lasts next cycle, if I get to next cycle!)
