Too Similar?

I'm not even pregnant yet haha (I just had my little man 4 weeks ago, but we're planning to try for #2 before he is 1).

We already are set on a girls name, but I'm worried the boys name I like is too similar to DS1.

His name is Orson, but I REALLY like the name Orion for baby #2.

Are Orson and Orion too similar?

If so, any suggestions?

Too similar, I think. I used to always look up in school etc. if someone called for a Christopher or a Chris, etc.

They both start with O and end in -on.

I would say too similar both phonetically (the double Or- is too much for me, I think I'd constantly mix up whose name I was trying to say), and written down as it's just one letter different.

If anything I think it's a good thing. They're not that similar but it would surely link the boys together in a special way to others.

Orson sounds more like a surname to me.

I think they're both too similar and I don't think they match particularly well but that's just my opinion.

I don't think so. I like them both! They're a bit similar written down but not so much when you say them, which is how they will mostly be used. It's not like they rhyme or anything.
