I was just wondering if it's normal to have no apitite at all ? I gave birth 5 days ago and I expected to feel off but I just have no idea when I'm hungry any more. No rumbles no nothing. If I wait too long I get pains across my diaphragm area but even that doesn't feel like hunger

One normal sized meal now lasts me 3 sittings because I just don't fancy eating

Is it the tiredness? I'm so confused :(

I had this when I first gave birth, it's like I'd forget to eat because I just wasn't getting hungry. My family had to keep reminding me to eat, and telling me I'd be unwell if I didn't. Fortunately it didn't last too long, maybe a couple of weeks? I think you've got so much on your mind when you've just had a baby that you become last priority.

Yeah i had this same thing for about two weeks pp, my husband would bring me a plate with a normal serving on it, and i would eat a few bites and be done...i think it was a combination of being too tired to eat, being so sore that all i wanted to do was sleep, not eat...and the stress of "oh crap, they really sent me home with a baby...why would they DO that!!" :haha:

I'm 3.5 weeks pp and still don't ever have an appetite. My husband has to remind me to eat and bring me food. My schedule is totally messed up due to LO's sleeping habits (he's usually up all night and then finally goes to sleep about 9am, and then sleeps for 2 4-hour sessions) so I think that's probably the cause of my issues.

I was like this until recently, and I'm 16 days pp. I was also nauseous and throwing up! I think it's definitely related to exhaustion. You'll get your appetite back - in the meantime, try eat what you can and keep up with fluids and rest.

Thanks ladies :) it's nice to know it's not uncommon. After a better nights sleep last night I woke with abit of a tummy rumble

Looking forward to having my full apitite again though x

I'm 6 days PP and also no appetite when I think about food I get sick to my stomach and then I normally throw up about 30 minutes after eating. I'm trying to keep my fluids up if nothing else. The bad thing is, being hungry is a trigger for my anxiety, and I think my body knows its hungry so my anxiety has been very bad since yesterday.
