I have heard that pocket birth-potty nappies often do not fit until around 10lbs or so when baby is tiny (although I know that fit will differ with different brands) - would it be worth getting some teenyfits to use in the initial weeks? Thanks!

I found it worth it, definitely. My LO isn't in BTPs yet at 6 weeks. And I'm not even biased because I'm selling some Teenyfits ;)

i bought 1 teeny fit to try and corey was bursting out of it. he was 4 weeks and under 10lbs.
so i never saw the need but worth trying

I also only bought 1 tiny fit to try. I really liked it and used it every chance I got, but it only fit for about 2 weeks on my daughter and she was 8lbs at birth. I thought she was going to be smaller and would get more use out of it, but didn't turn out that way. Glad I only got one. I bought the more affordable Mother-ease Sandy's newborn fitteds with bummis and Thirsties covers. Got lots more use out of those.

i have them, as i don't want baby in a s'posie at all!! so these can be used straight away.

on another note, i plan to have more children so will get more use out of them anyway
