Hi all, as the title reads.... Anyone else know what this could possibly mean? I'm also being treated for high bp and I'm on methyldopa 3 times a day which is currently got bp under control. I'm being monitored at least once a week for bp issues. Wen I went today, midwife advised the above n said it might just be an infection. They sent urine off for further testing n took bloods. Results to be discussed at consultant app on Friday. Anyone else been through something similar? X

From what I can gather, a trace in urine is usually nothing to worry about. I have had a trace of protein in my urine on 2 seperate occasions and the midwife wasn't concerned. The fact you have got pluses of glucose in your urine could mean that you had had a lot of sugary products prior to doing the sample (I had sugar puffs and a cup of tea before doing a sample once and got +++) if this is the first time you have had glucose in your urine then I wouldn't worry but if it has happened more than once then you may be referred for a glucose tolerance test to check for gestational diabetes x
