I'm not worried about it yet I'm only 22 weeks, but I'm just wondering if anyone's babies were measuring ahead and was in the transverse position at this stage, and how long before baby turned?

I'm guessing that's why my stomach is so sore and it's such a weird shape with baby being slightly bigger than hes supposed to and lying right across my stomach. I look forward to him getting head down as stretching across ways is getting kind of agony, I had my belly pierced which I took out very early on, and the hole has stretched right across in a straight line lol

Both my sons flip flopped in and out of position from 30-38 weeks. They finally stayed head down from 38 weeks until they was born at 41+2 days & 41 weeks.

They both were 21 inches long & 7lbs 12 oz with huge heads. Weight wise they were average but heads and height were in the 95th percentile.

I definitely would not sorry. Around 36 weeks If baby is still traverse then the doctors may suggest manually turning the baby into position. It’s called an ECV.

Thanks for that hun! I know how big headed babys are, my son was born at 40 weeks, he was 8lb 4 and his head was 99.9th centile! Hes 5 now and his head is actually average lol

I've never had this before both previous babies stayed in the head down position from early on, so I do hope this baby finds transverse really uncomfortable and moves, not just for his sake, my poor stomachs sake as well its agony having him lie this way!

I'm not at all fancying an ECV, it looks painful and I cant stand anyone feeling or pushing my bump now as it is, if that was the case I'd just go straight in for a section no questions asked lol

Hi hon
My baby has been head down since 20 weeks and I had my growth scan today and he is still head down. I asked if he will move or just stay there and she said as there is still alot of space and alot of water he can move if he wants to and she said he may he breach at my next growth scan at 30+1 but even then they still have time to turn.

My boy is already 2lb 4oz and he is measuring 2 days extra which I know is basically bang on but 2lb 4oz already. She said that's normol for my gestation but I was shocked lol.
I am being induced no later than 37 weeks tho so i feel lucky in that respect. My eldest son was born at 42 weeks and grew to 8lb 15oz.
Still reckon this one will be a good 7lb something even at 37 weeks but we shall see. I thought that about DD and she was only 5lb.

I'm hoping the scan measurements were wrong, I'm 22+4 and he was measuring 24 weeks yesterday, im hoping the aches and pains are from this massive growth spurt and the majority of my cramps and pains are because hes lying cross ways it's no wonder my stomach looks square lol! I'm hoping he wont be ridiculously big, my son was born at 40 weeks and was 8lb 4oz, I can deal with that just no bigger lol! OH was a 10lb baby, so I'm hoping he follows me at 6lb 6oz rather than his dad hahaha x

My ds1 was transverse until 36+3 and i can remember him now turning lol, he was a 10lber as well. Plenty of time and space for baby to get into position x
