Hi everybody,

I just posted this already in another board and would like to have feedback from ladies who are fighting with dh`s low drive/ low testosterone.

First our story:

In 2008 after a try with Maca, Pycnogenol and multivitamins, we succeed to have a bfp which gave us our lovely son.

We are ttcying since 2010 for baby#2. I was thinking that would be easier. Unfortunately, ut is more difficult this time.

We found out that dh has a pituitary adenoma and have a high prolactin, which makes his testosteron very low. Since 2009 he has a very low drive, no libido and depressive mood. I gave him many supplements again like Maca, Arginine, zinc etc but nothing. His endocrinologist put him on Dostinex. It gave him some better mood but after few months, his mood came back to deprevssive state and non-existant libido...

I searched on the internet about aphrodisiac herbs since the option of testosterone gel made me afraid after reading some stories on this board about their effects on sperm quality.

In pubmed (NIH Library) I found some research studies about tribulus and about Tongkat Ali (eurycoma longifolia) and the effects on men testosterone.

The most promising studies were about tongkat and the effect on testosterone.

I bought some tribulus and some tongkat. I see some improvements but not yet what conclusive. I am afraid about their long-term effects...

Sorry my post is so long! I would like to see whether some lady here had already experience with these herbs or other herbs.

The last dh`s SA is very bad (0% motility, high viscosity and low count).

I bought DH some tribulus but he stopped taking it so I have no idea if it works or not. A naturopath on another forum recommended it.

Hi CanadianMaple,

why did your dh stopped the tribulus?
Did he stopped it because of some side effects?

Apparently my hubby may have low T levels mainly caused by too much beer. Rich from www.fertilichat.com recommended removing vitamin E (as it lowers T levels) and adding HornyGoat weed and Tribulis and obviously no beer.
Could I ask where you buy your Tribulis? I want hubby to start tribulis as soon as possible but not sure what is the best place to buy.

Hi Briss,

sorry I didn't see your answer.
I ordered Tribulus from a german pharmacy.
If you live in US, you can order it for example from amazon.
I have seen in an other board some using tribulus from now foods.
It is cheap and seems to be efficient.

Thank you! I checked amazon but there are so many varieties I was not sure which one to go for. I live in the UK and in the end got it from H&B, not cheap but I just hope it will help us
