2 questions:

I have the (mains operated) TT steriliser. Its says to clean it once a month. I noticed there is a bit of brown stuff in the bottom. What kind of cleaner can you use? Can I just put some Milton in and let it go without bottles in.

Also Max will soon be moving onto larger bottles. I am contemplating getting Dr Browns - will they fit in the TT steriliser?

Thanks!

The brown stuff is probably limescale. If you look in boots, you can get descaler specifically for bottle sterilisers - that's the best thing to use really. Never seen it anywhere else though!

As far as I know all bottles and sterilisers on the market in the UK can be used together, but I think your steriliser has an extra basket bit at the top (??) - I'm not sure if that will fit with the DB bottles as they are a bit taller than the TT ones. Why not pick up some larger TT bottles - they will be on offer in Asda starting tomorrow.

I put Jiff lemon juice in my TT steriliser whilst it's still warm after a cycle, leave it sitting there for about 10 mins whilst I sort out the bottles, then wipe it out. Sorts out the limescale a treat:thumbup:

Yep can get 6 DR Browns in the TT.xx

can i ask how you put your bottles in to sterilizer as i have the oval tt sterilizer and my top shelf doesnt fit in so i can only do 2 at once with all bits there is. maybe i'm just thick lol x x
