Hello, I'm 22 years old... ttc#1.
Came off Cileste pill 18th March. Periods since then:
20th-25th March (on time)
30th-3rd April ( very early)
16th-21st May (very late)
Ovulated around 27th-1st May
Next AF due June 13th ( going from last period )

Around 3rd June after ovulating started having cramping in right side of abdomen.
Symptoms since: headaches, diareeh, feeling sick, nearly fainted once, loss of appetite, tired, sensitive nipples..

I hve done numerous tests all Bfn's!! :(
I don't know weather to expect this period to be very late like the last one... when should I test again? Xxxxx

Hiya kezzaside!

I'm in the same boat, almost! had my withdrawal bleed from Cilest on 27th March, think I ov'd on 21st April as had extreme pain in my side and was told that it was ov pains, 1st "real" AF on 3rd May.

Think I ov'd again on 27th May and now....lots of symptoms like you but no BFP - in fact lots of BFNs - last one this morning!

I don't know what to expect either in terms of cycle length but if you did ov around 1st June at latest I would wait until Monday or Tuesday to test again and use an early test?? Superdrug have them on offer - 2 for £5.99 (one in a box) or 2 for £7.99 (2 in a box).

Nice to see someone on here almost the same as me

How long were you on Cilest if you don't mind me asking? I was 11 years!

Wishing you lots of luck for your :bfp: !!

Hello!
I would wait a few more days to test.
Just to warn you tho, there is such a thing as birth control withdrawal. For me it really hit my 3rd cycle off the pill. I was totally convinced i was pg with all my symptoms, but in reality it was my hormones kickin back in.
Not trying to get you down, just informed.
Hoping this is your :bfp: !!

Exact same thing happen to me. I was forsure I was pregnant because of all the weird symptoms I was getting the 1st month off BC. Plus I was 10 days late on AF...when really my body was just adjusting back to its old ways. My Dr. said it was crazy I had ovulation pains the 1st month off bc. She said that wasn't usually a thing to happen. But I was excited, even if I was in pain because I knew my body was doing what it was suppose to.

GL! Hope you get :bfp:!!

hi - I was on cilest for 9 years - cam off last december - AF came back pretty regularly - 36 day/34/33/29 and then 32 - i used ov sticks and didn't think i was actually ovulating - started taking vitex last cycle and preconceive and some evening primrose. had my first smiley face on clear blue digi this month - 6 months ttc - think BC messed up my ovualting so at least i now know it's happening!!!!
i'm 27 btw.

baby dust to u all xx

Hey everyone

AF arrived yesterday, so at least I know now! Looks like they were BC withdrawal symptoms, how strange that it can make you feel like that! Still, I seem to be getting into a routine cycle as last month was 38 days, this month 39 - can't complain!

Onwards and upward to the next cycle :happydance:

FX'd for everyone trying for their first :bfp: !!

It's crazy right. I came off my BC in May and this month, our first month ttc, I was convinced we had caught early (although I knew very unlikely) as I had pains (which I now think were OV pains), constipation, metallic taste, cold symptoms etc. While AF hasn't arrived yet I can feel her on the way as I am getting familiar feeling tummy cramps.

Like you said though, it's reassuring to know our bodies are doing what they're meant to, FC for you next month and for my AF this weekend. I just want her to come now then I know my body is working lol.

welshgirl21 - It's not over until AF arrives but I totally know how you feel, it is stressful waiting, getting all the symptoms of preg and no BFP yet no AF!

I feel so much more relaxed that I now have AF - fingers crossed you know either way soon enough!

If I had known when I started the pill when I was 17 that it could cause this much chaos I may not have done it! Then again it's often one of the only (safest) options!

Let me know how you get on.

Richiesgal: I totally agree!!
If I had known how much birth control screws us up, I wouldnt have gone on it.
I have now been off it for 5 months and I think/hope its finally all out of my system.
 for our impending :bfp:'s

I honestly wont miss the pill.. My worst symptom was my crazy emotions!! I'd cry at everything..and nothing. I could just be sitting on the couch and watching Glee and start bawling!!
