I'm new to this whole forum thingy, so bare with me :). Ever feel like Doc from back to the future when it comes to figuring out your ovulation calender? "According to my calculations, when this baby hits 88 miles an hour your going to see some serious s--t" lol. Sry, I have a humorous side. Ok, so here's the skinny ladies! I'm 32 years old and was on the depo shot just shy of a year. I came off of it just this past August because it was a nightmare! Non-stop spotting the whole time and it wasn't exactly a turn on for my boyfriend and I. We decided to start ttc. So, the end of August I started taking vitex 3 times a day. I was still spotting lightly until September 25th. Then the flood gates opened up and I bled heavy for 10 days. No joke, I thought I was dying lol. Finally, tapered off but have light occasional spotting still. I thought maybe I was taking too much vitex, so I cut it down to twice a day. According to the calendar October 9th was the highest day for fertility. So, we did the naughty dance.. a lot that night. Dpo 1 and 2 I felt fine but when it came to dpo 3 I had a sharp pain on the right side. Then later that night I had light pink bleeding, total dif color then the spotting I had. Dpo 4 and 5 I'm still experiencing it. The only difference today is that my boobs hurt & I've passed 2 tiny clots. Making me super nervous by the way because I've never had children before nor have I experienced this. My cycle before depo was roughly every 28 days. Anyone ever experience what I am? Am I nuts? Is it possible I could of implanted?

The ovulation calculators are not always correct. Those calculators base their guess off how long you say your average cycles are. It also assumes that you'll have a 14 days LP, which isn't always the case. It's possible that the calculator could be out by a few days or more. If you're relying on it solely to predict when you ovulate and only BD when it says you're fertile you could easily miss it.

Vitex although you can buy it over the counter is very potent. If you have regular cycles it can turn them irregular and even make you stop ovulating. It can also cause spotting throughout your cycle. For women with PCOS it's usually safe to take, but otherwise be weary.

It can take some time for the depo injection to get out of your system. So things might not be back to normal for you yet, plus with Vitex in there it might even be making things change.

I'm guess the pain you felt after was actually ovulation pain not implantation.

Have you tried temping or doing OPKs?

In my opinion you did great by getting off the depo shot. I was on the depo shot for 5 years after having my son who is now 6. I had no problems conceiving my 2 children which are 7 and 6, but then after getting off the depo shot I wasnt even ovulating. My lining was thinned out for the first few months which the Dr. said was most likely from being on the depo shot and now after a year of TTC im on my second round of Clomid and hoping this month will be the month I see my BFP. I can say I will never get on the shot again, and from my experience I wouldn't advise anyone else to either. Good Luck to you! I hope it is implantation for you and you get your BFP! :happydance:

hi, I am also coming off of depo, my last shot was due oct 13 and I did not get it, I was getting my shot every 13 to 14 weeks so I feel now im about 16 wks since last depo. I had what seemed like a regular af the last 2 months on the shot, so assuming I did then i should start next week I think. I spotted a small bit about a week or so off the shot and thought af was coming but nope. I was on depo 6 years. so far i have been cranky, sore breast and that few days of spotting and mild cramps and now nothing. I have read that alot of women feel pregnant symptoms aftee missed depo. any other symptoms? keep us updated.
