ttc#1 after stopping bcp

Hi All. I was wondering how long it took you to ovulate the first time after ending bcp. Did you count from your last active pill or last pill as a whole?

Just finished my last pack end of June and ttc #1. New to this forum. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi carachelle, welcome! I'm also fairly new to the forum and currently TTC#1. I didn't ovulate my first cycle off of the pill, but based on my temps, I did my second cycle. I'm currently in my third cycle, and I think I ovulated yesterday but need a couple more days of temps to be sure.

So for me, I only had one anovulatory cycle after the pill, but it's different for everyone. You may want to consider temping, as it will tell you if you've ovulated.

I started my first cycle off BCP on January 1st and ovulated that cycle. I've been charting since that very first day (even though I didn't start TTC until this month), and my cycles are longer than average, but I have ovulated every cycle. GL!

Hey! I was on the pill for 8 years and took my last active one on June 12th. Your supposed to count cd1 as the first day of your withdrawl bleed. (Mine came about 4 days from my last pill) I might not be much help here since I'm not temping or doing opks so I really don't know for sure if I even ovulated or not, but I think I did on cd15 (July 1) based on symptoms like cramps & ewcm. Thanks! I was on bcp for about 9 years. I took my last active pill on 6/23 and first day of withdraw bleed on 6/27. I haven't been charting temps, but have picked up a box of opk. I am going to start those. Thanks to everyone for the advice. Good luck to all!

I didn't O for 5 months after the pill. I finally did on CD34.

I was on bcp for 7ish years. Not sure when I ovulated, we did the whole NTNP thing, but took last pill Nov 1st and conceived in March.

I didn't mention in my original post that I was on the pill for 9 years. I was just thinking that information might be useful somehow.
