Hi Everyone,

Hoping to get some insight! Here's a bit of background... My husband and I have been TTC for 11 months now. I went in for a pre conception visit in August of 2014 so my doctor has said that I will need to start looking at some fertility aids come August if I have not conceived. My charting has shown me that I have a 30 day cycle, Ovulate on day 19, and luteal length is 11days.

DH has just started taking Fertilaid for Men and I have just started taking Fertilaid for Women for 1 cycle, I was taking a prenatal for 10 months before that. I started going to acupuncture, with last week being my second week getting pricked and somehow feeling good after it all (ha!). I have for the most part cut out all refined carbs, caffeine, and have 1 adult beverage on the weekends leading up to ovulation but then stop in the event that I may be pregnant. The majority of what I have been eating is veggies, with some sort of protein, and whole grains sparingly. DH and I are BD on every to every other day basis from CD 8 to AF.

I am currently on CD 26 and not sure if I may be pregnant this cycle. Slightly sore boobs, runny nose, higher BBT, frequent urination. I used to have really sore boobs right after ovulation until AF but since i cut out caffeine, I haven't had any (there's one perk of getting off caffeine!) My doctor believes I got the flu so my doctor did an exam and prescribed me medication to help with a possible upper respiratory infection.

Im getting weary of seeing the BFN's and I just want to start a family already. Im just so ready for this next chapter. Now that I've charted and can see that my luteal length has been on the short side as I've heard it should be anywhere 12 - 14 days, what can i do to lengthen the luteal phase? What has worked for you ladies out there?

Sprinkling all the baby dust I can think of to all you ladies out there!!

Sorry it has been taking you so long to TTC it can be so frustrating :( and its easy to feel down about it. My DH is also on fertilaid going on month 2 so no results yet. I didn't do fertilaid for me because I read that if you have regular cycles it can mess that up. But it sounds like you have done really well making diet changes so that's a great step.

Anyways I found taking vitamin C helped lengthen my LP. I started taking it 1 months ago. and my cd went from 24-25 to 26. LP was only 9 now its 11 so maybe it will be even longer this cycle :) I did talk to my doctor about short LP and she said 11 is still normal but below 10 isn't. It might be a good idea for your doctor to check for vit D level. We found out mine is low and that can make it hard TTC

Good luck! Sending you some baby dust!

Hmmm! I never thought about taking Vitamin C. I have heard that about Fertilaid too and I have regular cycles so I will need to see if it messes with my cycles at all. Hopefully not.

I did read that pineapple is really good to eat after ovulation as it contains high amounts of Vitamin C and Manganese helps with implantation so I have been eating pineapple (including the core, which has most of the benefits). Hoping that will help! I do think I can feel twinges of pain during ovulation time, so hoping maybe I just need some help with the implantation part.

Have you thought of having your DH checked? we finally got my DH checked and his sperm count was low. along with other issues. But fingers crossed for you, waiting is so hard.

Do you find it hard to eat the pineapple core I've thought about doing it but i'm not really a fan of pineapple lol

He has brought it up as it is much more inexpensive to have him checked first than it is for them to run the tests on me. Truthfully, I have not pulled the trigger and told him to book an appointment because I was hopeful and well, naive, in thinking that maybe we would conceive before then. But I just realized it's the beginning of July so next month marks 1 year that we will have been trying actively.

Pineapple core is not as tough as I thought, lol! I thought it was going to be hard to swallow, but it's got the same flavor as the rest of the pineapple. Have you ever chewed on sugar cane? It's kind of a softer version of that. :)

lol well i tried it and just couldn't eat it hahaha going to start on progesterone next cycle after ovulation, looks like my progesterone is like really really low. How have you been doing this cycle?
