I was 19 when I experienced my first miscarriage. At 20 I was diagnosed with PCOS (2006). Fast forward to 2010, my fertility specialist recommended weight loss to lessen the effects of PCOS. I was monitored on an extreme diet where I lost 40 lbs+. 3 months later, without any fertility meds, I conceived my son. He was born on Nov. of 2011.

I've been NTNP since 2014 and nothing. Then in July of 2015, I had a medicated cycle but not IUI and BFN. I've gained the weight I had lost long ago btw, so yes, I am overweight :nope:.

I am on my 3rd cycle taking Vitex and it seems to work! I have been able to confirm Ovulation and managed to get positive OPK's, but still, BFN the last 2 months. I got a positive opk yesterday, but I am still waiting to confirm O through BBT temping. I am beginning to arrange appointments to go back to my fertility specialist to help me with a good diet if this month is a bust. I feel like my weight is keeping me from conceiving.

Anyone in the same boat as me? I need a buddy so any other experiences/hardships are welcome!

:hugs: I am in a similar situation. We spent over 8 years ttc ds. When he was 4 months old we started ttc #2. We are now on month 20. I've had two early miscarriages on clomid in January and black cohosh in May.

We are going to do another round of clomid and I'm hoping it leads to our sticky bean because I'm not sure I can do much more.

Hi Krissie! I remember you from last month's ordeal/thread :). It's so nice to have you back, and thank you for sharing your story with me.

I missed my fertility specialist's call today (bummer) but I am getting in touch with him tomorrow morning. I am excited to start this new journey. I can't seem to be motivated enough to lose weight, so I know that once I go into my specialists office he will weigh me and do my blood work. After that I will be held accountable for my weight loss upon my follow-up visit. Somehow, that always worked for me.

Good luck with the clomid, I think I am going to try and loose some weight before I ask for the meds. I do feel a little desperate, but I know that I am not at a healthy place right now. Keep me posted!

Hi! I'm in a similar boat. We have been TTC #2 on month 22 now, round 2 of Clomid for me (DH is on Clomid for his low count, which has helped, it tripled it). So far we haven't had any hints of anything in the 22 months we've been trying, no shadows of lines, no chemical pregnancies, no nothing. I'm 1 DPO now and just praying that something worked this time.

Hi markswife!

I have an obgyn appt on the 30th and I hope he will follow up with my lining and progesterone. I'm pretty sure thin lining is my problem right now.

I need to lose weight too. But I'm actually less than I was with ds so not terribly concerned.

Welcome markswife! I will kmfx that you get your sticky bean, it's a heartache to keep getting those darn BFNs.

On the plus side, I was able to get in touch with my specialist and will see him this very Friday!! I will go in for my well woman's exam and go from there. Will keep you ladies posted :). As for O, nothing just yet on FF. I guess I need to wait a couple of more days... last month I got my CH at 6dpo!

Hi Krissie! Good luck at your appointment!

Thanks Brenda. Yes it is, very depressing.

Hopefully you get a game plan going at your appointment! Fingers crossed!

Hello ladies, I am here at my specialist's appt, super excited to take my first step towards improving my fertility.

Also, I'm happy to announce I'm 3dpo. Experiencing a lot of breast tenderness, but I've experienced that in my BFN cycles-- in other words, it's just the progesterone.

Hi Brenda! I have been TTC my 3rd for almost 2 years also. My 2 children are from an ex (no problems getting pregnant at ALL). Now that I am married I want to give my husband children also. We started TTC in November 2014. We got pregnant the first month, but it was a CP.

No HINTS of a BFP these past 2 years. Since I did get pregnant with my hubby I KNOW its possible. Just don't understand why its not happening! Its seriously torture! We have been to a RE and have undergone all the tests. We pass everything with flying colors. Nothing is wrong. So I guess God is just mad at me (LOL kidding, but that's how I feel a lot!)

Brenda- how did your appt go?

Welcome Ashley. We started ttc the same month. It's so emotionally draining especially with losses. Have you been to your doctor yet?

Brenda-yes how was the appt!!
Markswife- HI :) :)

Krissie- Well we did our first IUI with 50mg of clomid in March. I had 2 mature follicles. I really thought God was sending me a sign when we had the IUI done. While I waited in the room after the IUI, I heard the song "I get around" by the beach boys...you know the same song at the beginning of "Look who's talking" when the sperm are racing towards the egg? YEAH.

I was just SMITTEN cuz I was like this HAS to be a sign from God. NOPE. BFNNNNNNNNNNNNN.

I haven't gone back just cuz I felt really gutted. And the costs. I think after I get this AF, I am going to schedule another RE appt for August and see if we can do IUI #2 with a higher dose of clomid.

I remember that all now Ashley. I'm really sorry it was bfn.

Ltttc is just awful. I keep wanting to give up but I keep thinking I'd regret not trying all we can.

Hi ladies I would like to join this thread. We are also ttc for number two but have been told my our RE to give up and enjoy our daughter.

We had her after 5 ivf and 1 FET. For number two we had 1 FET and 1 IVF which resulted in no eggs!

I had my amh tested recently and it is super low 4.2 but not zero so hoping to lose weight and take supplements to keep my endometriosis at bay. Hoping and praying for one more miracle.

Brendan how much weight loss do you need ? I need to lose another 5 kg.

Ashley sorry to hear about your bfn I totally understand the disappointment and how you feel God has abandoned you.

Krissie our first child are very close in age what you going to do for his 2nd birthday?

Unlucky- we aren't doing anything to big. Mostly a get together with grandparents, my sister and her son and a few friends. We will have cake and a bbq. I can't believe a week from tomorrow my little baby will be 2!

Good morning ladies! Welcome Ashley and Unlucky, very glad to see new faces and to read new stories :hugs:.

In regards to my appt yesterday, I feel very accomplished. Perhaps because I've been down that road and was able to get what I wanted without any of the "guess work" on what steps to take next.

Turned out, I did not need a well woman's exam until August... but we were able to make my appt a regular office visit! I had an ultrasound and got my ovaries and uterus checked, did a full panel of blood work but will return any day I wish to do a glucose test. My ovaries looked good :happydance:, but according to the doctor, my lining was very thick?! I've been told that before, but I am suppose to get my period in about a week give or take a few days (It's suppose to build up in order to receive a pregnancy otherwise it will shed)... This wasn't my usual doctor but I will go in for a water exam after my period to make sure everything is nice and open (fallopian tubes, etc) since he was concerned with endometriosis and polyps.

I do not have symptoms of endometriosis but it won't hurt to get checked out. I am pretty sure it's just my pcos and weight. I do have an appt with the nutritionist who's going to put me on a monitored diet July 7!!!

@Unlucky-- For fertility purposes I need to lose 10% of my body weight. It's 25 lbs:blush:, I am very heavy. But I plan to lose more than that, maybe 40 lbs like I did with my son. Now these diets the nutritionist put me on are extreme, when I lost my 40 lbs with my son I did it in 45 days though the HCG diet. Lost most of it the first 15-20 days. I anticipate doing something like that again. I will make sure to take before and after pics and post my journey. I am also well aware these diets are not for long term success, but it did help me jumpstart my body and help me get pregnant.

Sorry my post was long ladies!

Krissie we celebrated my niece 2nd birthday today. It was hard but I got through it. Since my sister is pregnant with twins she dumped her two year old with my husband and I while she talked to relatives. We didn't mind but I am definitely green with envy bad eh?

I think a small gathering is the best at this age eh?

Brenda sounds like you have a great plan. I think losing weight helps get your mind off the ttc. Gives you focus. I have thick lining too and have had two hsg to check for any unusual growth but everything was ok. I think some people just have thick lining.

AFM just starting my second cycle of trying naturally. Hope to shock the world with a bfp. Have told everyone we can't have any more kids so hoping I am wrong.

Unlucky- I totally get it. My sister told me they had an accident and were waiting to see if she was pregnant. It's so upsetting that we have to work so hard to get pregnant. And now I'm dealing with chemicals it's just so disheartening.

Brenda- sounds like it was a good appt.

I am currently working on losing weight. Ideally I have about 45 lbs to lose. I'm doing a low carb diet and having some good success. I've already lost over 10 lbs.

Krissie has your sister taken a test yet? My sister got pregnant first time when she saw her husband once a month they were living in different states and this time with twins naturally. God is really separating us apart one is well blessed and I am cursed.

Well done on the weight loss. So hard to do. I am trying to do a weight watcher diet but so hard especially my nathropath telling me to avoid sweets. Any ideas for healthy dinners that the whole family can enjoy?

Unlucky- I do not believe she has tested yet.

I try to pick a protein and then add veggies. I also include carbs for ds and dh like bread or potatoes. I am currently avoiding those so I just skip them.

I am trying to keep daily carbs under 50.

Krissie you sound very discipline. Are you ladies charting at all or find it too stressful? I just bought an ovulation kit to just confirm that I am ovulating. Hoping that it coincidence with my cm changes.

Just got my $3 watch which will help me count my steps. Another distraction
