A little history - I was diagnosed with PCOS at the age of 16 and saw every specialist for 300 miles who assured me I would never have children. I married my soul mate Dec 26 2009 and we conceived on our wedding night! (I'm not making that up LOL) No drugs, no planning, nothing, and we now have an almost 13 month beautiful baby boy! We immediately decided to start trying for number 2, so far no luck. I was having periods every 30-35 days after delivery, but now have stopped. My last period was in August. I've taken 7 pregnancy tests - all negative. I feel crampy, and my husband will swear that I am having the worst PMS ever.
I have an appointment with a fertility specialist (yep, one of the same ones who told me I'd never have children) on November 12. I'm a nervous wreck! My PCP told me we'd probably go with a combo of progestin/oil shots and clomid. But I was having periods then. Anyone have any idea what - if any - course of treatment I may be looking at??? At my age, 35, and my history of PCOS is there really any chance of conceiving another one??
